From 17th June 2016 the YHA (England & Wales) has become a dog friendly place to stay!
Your beloved four-legged friend will be made welcome at all YHA camping and cabin sites where you can stay in dog friendly Pods, Cabins and huts.
The only exceptions are YHA New Forest and YHA Exford where local planning restrictions prevent this.
You and your pet can enjoy the comfort of a timber roof over your head but still feel close to nature in these charming Glamping options which now come with beds and bedding as standard – so you don’t have to bring your camping gear with you.
Your dogs are welcome to stay over with guests who are camping with YHA, whether in their own tents, or using any of the pods, cabins, tipis or bell tents.
It’s free to bring man’s best friend with you if you’re pitching a tent and, for all other glamping options, it’s just £5 per dog per night. This is payable upon arrival at the hostel.
There is a limit of 2 dogs per adult guest and although your bedding is provided you will need to bring supplies for your pooch.
Dog friendly YHA will however provide water bowls in all individual pods, cabins, bell tents, tipis and huts.
Lots of YHA locations are in National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or near to coastal paths and beaches which are perfect for walking your furry companions – it’s a dog’s life!
You can also bring your dog into any one of the YHA cafes so why not pop in for tea and cake after your walkies?
Wagging tails and all four paws welcome!
