The 18th-century Manor House is a traditional coaching inn, sitting on the undulating A68 at the head of the Derwent Reservoir, a noted watersports and wild fishing centre.
Its unique location offers an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Derwent Valley across the seasons – with fantastic vistas of the Moors and North Pennines.
You will get an extremely warm welcome with your four-legged friend at the Manor House and can enjoy a glass of wine, a hearty local ale, delicious food, roaring fires and a cosy, friendly atmosphere.
Dogs are welcome in 3 of the 4 rooms at the Manor House Inn – you can be accommodated in the Superior Room or the 2 Large Double Rooms at a cost of £5 per dog per night.
The Manor House keeps a small double room pet free for customers who may have allergies which is most thoughtful.
There is no restriction on size of dog and up to 2 pets can stay in any of the pet friendly rooms.
The Manor House really does ensure you and you canine companion feel at home and enjoys a large dog following from locals. Dogs are welcome in the bar where you can eat the wonderful locally sourced produce and breakfast can be requested there too if your pet is to attend.

Six miles outside Consett, the Manor House is just over 30 minutes’ drive from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the historic cathedral city of Durham. The spectacular scenery of the Kielder Water & Forest Park is also just over 20 miles away.
