Park Hall Country House & Cottages is located in the picturesque village of St. Osyth named after the daughter of the first Christian King of East Anglia.
Long associated with royalty the 14th century Park Hall was formerly the home of Abbot John of London when it was an important monastery. So vast is this estate, monks were granted a Royal licence to hunt hare and fox here in the 17th century.
Located in the heart of Constable Country on the Essex/Suffolk coast line the wonderful English countryside at Park Hall is officially the ‘driest place in England’.
Today Park Hall Country House & Cottages, surrounded by 400 acres of privately owned countryside is a very special place for you to have a relaxing vacation.
Nestled in the beautiful gardens of the historic Park Hall Country House, you will find the pet friendly Park Hall Country Cottages. These three stunning cottages are all exquisitely designed with an abundance of oak beams, high vaulted ceilings and lovely fireplaces.
The Cart Lodge accommodates 2 people and the Carriage House and Stables can both accommodate 2-4 people. All the accommodation has been awarded ‘5 stars – Gold’ from Visit Britain.
Up to two well-behaved dogs can stay at Park Hall Country Cottages and there is no restriction on size. There is no extra charge for you beloved pet to stay. The cottages are all self-contained with kitchens fitted with every appliance you would expect to find in a deluxe country home so there is no problem having to find somewhere to go to eat! You even have your own private patio outside as well as lounge and dining areas.
There is plenty for you and your canine friend to enjoy as dogs are allowed in the gardens of Park Hall and across the 400 acre privately owned land with lakes.
If you want to go out of the estate, there are plenty of stunning beaches nearby. Do check for restrictions however as some do not allow dogs during the summer months. Mersea Stone Beach is a sand and shell beach on the easternmost tip of Mersea Island. The beach is the landing point for the foot ferry to St. Osyth so easily reached and it is dog friendly all year round.
