A Room In The Park, Holkham, Norfolk

A Room In The Park is a unique dog friendly hideaway situated within the walls of Holkham Park on the North Norfolk coast.

Johanna and Christopher Tennant have converted the barn in the 1 acre garden of their home, East Lodge – a former game keepers lodge – into a comfortable “guest room” which is available to rent on a weekly basis or for weekends and short breaks throughout the year.

A Room In The Park provides a spacious, double-volume, open plan studio room with en suite shower and direct access to a private area of the walled garden, nestled amongst Holme Oaks and Pine trees.

A Room In The Park is a wonderful place to stay with your beloved four-legged friend. There is a limit of one dog in the accommodation and a charge of £5 applies.

You and your canine companion will have much to explore. As well as the private garden area, The Holkham National Nature Reserve, Holkham Hall and Holkham Bay are only a few minutes’ walk across fields or woodland tracks and the charming seaside town and fishing port of Wells-next-the-Sea is a 10 minute walk away.

The nearby Victoria at Holkham is a dog friendly eatery where you can enjoy food sourced primarily from the Holkham Estate.

You can be assured of a warm welcome by the owners of A Room In The Park who will be able to point you in the direction of the best walks, local eateries and bars and are happy to share their intimate knowledge of the locality with guests, to ensure your stay is a memorable one.

I s there any chance 1 dog could be divided into two very small ones ? As our oldest one would be horrified to be left behind away from his new baby brother, whose on Borrowed time and we are despesperate to give the Norfolk experience ?
