Wollaton Hall and Park, Nottingham

Standing on a natural hill three miles west of Nottingham City Centre, Wollaton Hall is set in five hundred acres of spectacular gardens and parkland. The Hall itself is one of the country’s finest Grade One listed Elizabethan mansions. The magnificent site houses a hall built in the 1580s by Sir Francis Willoughby, the Camellia House, the Courtyards, Museums and formal gardens.
There is an array of wildlife including herds of red and fallow deer in the grounds as well as a lake and you will find several walking routes through the park to explore with your dog. You can let your dogs off the lead except in the fenced areas where the park’s deer herd is grazed – this is clearly marked.
The hall was used as the setting for Wayne Manor in the 2012 Batman film, Dark Knight Rises.
