Kings Mill Reservoir

Hi dog friends,

Went for a walk round Kings Mill Reservoir at the weekend. Hum (human Mum) likes it there although she gets a bit sad as you can see the hospital where her husband stayed when he was really, really ill most of the way round the lake.

Still she likes the walk and I must say I enjoyed it thoroughly.

It is a nature reserve and I am now learning my wildlife. Ducks are swimming bird things who are scared of me; geese are bigger swimming bird things who are not scared of me and have hissy fits and swans are really big white swimming bird things who just look at me disdainfully.

So hope that helps you my pals next time you have a walk round a lake.

There were lots of people and other dogs – I met a lovely little Chihuahua and gave him one of my business cards so he can check out cool places to take his human to stay. All the people we met were really friendly and I got lots of fussing over which was a bonus.

There were lots of things to see apart from the swimming birds; there were people in boats; people fishing and a man with little remote control boats on part of the lake. They looked lots of fun to play with but Hum told me they weren’t toys for me.

All in all a very pleasant place to walk – just right for a Sunday afternoon stroll.

Zuki
