Hart’s hotel is a contemporary, privately owned boutique hotel with its own garden and car park. A short stroll from the bustling city centre, Hart’s is the highest rated hotel in the Nottingham region.
The hotel was built in 2002 to an award winning design by architect Julian Marsh on the former ramparts of Nottingham’s medieval castle.
Although boutique, Hart’s is not impersonal and the owners Tim and Stefa Hart hope it is seen as a home from home.
All 32 rooms are dog friendly; however they suggest their Garden rooms for guests with dogs as they have direct access onto the private garden from the room through French doors. There are 6 of these rooms and dogs are also allowed in the garden.
The hotel has Classic Double rooms, Superior rooms, Garden rooms and Suites all dog friendly.
They advise 1 or 2 dogs to be in each room. Owners need to provide their own cage for the dogs to be in when left alone and therefore there may be a space restriction depending on the size of the cage. They do not take large dogs such as American Bulldogs or Large Huskies etc.
Dogs are allowed in the reception, courtyard and garden but not the bar or restaurant; however there is 24 hour room service available and dog friendly eateries such as The Ropewalk, 107-111 Derby Road, Nottingham, NG1 5BB nearby.
Other dog friendly Nottingham pubs and eateries such as BrewDog Nottingham, 122 Broad Street, Nottingham NG1 1AL will be listed in Eat & Drink section.
The hotel has its own garden for dogs to use and also overlooks The Park private residential area which is perfect to walk around. Owners are advised to clean up after their own dogs.
They don’t allow other pets as dogs are the most easily maintained for owners in their rooms and more suitable in cages when left alone.
Additional cost of £5 per dog applies to stay at the hotel. Please note a charge will be made if mess is left in public areas. A charge of up to £50 will also be made if deep cleaning is required in the room due to ‘accidents’.
