Dakota Nottingham

Hi Dog Pals,

So after Human Mum (Hum) took me to Newstead Abbey at the weekend for a walk, we went for a bite to eat and to check out the rooms at the Dakota, Nottingham.

This is so close to where we live I am surprised Hum hasn’t brought me here before! And it is very impressive too! The building is all sleek and glass and brick and very cool.

Hum has visited here in the past with family for meals but also for many business meetings. And she just assumed that business hotels and dogs don’t usually mix.

How wrong could she have been! We were welcomed by the very professional Gemma who had two rooms ready for us to look at – a Standard and an Executive. Natalie was really lovely and took us to view the rooms. Both rooms were wonderful but the Executive is bigger on an upper floor with a nice view and a hamper for the humans. Hum liked it a lot!

I posed for a few photos, checked out the human bathroom facilities (very nice) and then we went downstairs for lunch.

Dogs are allowed in the lobby and the White Lounge. Hum was ‘what the white lounge for dogs?’ but she really must not prejudge our behaviour.

The lobby is beautiful and spacious with fantastic leather sofas and a pretty impressive fire but we chose the lounge as it was a warm day.

Very chic and relaxing and with a good menu. We were going to have another Caesar Salad but I fancied a change and ordered the Club Sandwich. Well my dog friends if nothing else visit the Dakota Nottingham for that. Sensational – the ham in particular.

Not sure why Hum got upset when I ate it all……

4 paw prints – would be 5 except you need to bring your own bed and stuff.
